TESTIMONIALS

Hear It From Our Parents

Finding a daycare that keeps your mind at peace while your kids are there is truly a rare find. I was lucky to have found Alpha’s for my son.

The staff at Alpha’s as very
compassionate individuals who go above and beyond to ensure that every child feels loved, safe, and valued.

It's heartwarming to see the genuine connections they form with each little one.

Zara (parent) · Erin Mills Location

My daughter has blossomed socially, emotionally, and intellectually since joining at the age of 12 months.

The daily activities are thoughtfully planned, balancing play, learning,
and creativity. We appreciate the updates from the app and it's lovely to see how happy and excited my daughter is throughout the day.

We feel incredibly lucky to be part of this daycare community.

Daisy (parent) · Liruma Location

My daughter has been going to Alpha’s since she was 18 months old and she is now 4.

I cannot say enough about Alpha’s! The STEAM learning mixed with playtime, the nutritious lunches and the AMAZING educators and Director are just wonderful. They make sure the kids are having fun while learning, are engaged and connect with kids in

such a way that they truly become family.

I highly recommend Alpha’s and I could not have asked for a better daycare experience for my daughter!

FAQ

Questions Parents Ask

  • What is the student/teacher ratio?

Ratios follow the Child Care & Early Years Act: Toddler 1:5 (max 15 per class), Preschool 1:8 (max 16 or 24), Kindergarten 1:13 (max 19) and School Age 1:15 (max 15).

  • What are the teachers' qualifications?

All teachers are qualified Early Childhood Educators (ECE) registered with the College of ECEs, or Early Childhood Assistants (ECA). All staff are trained in First Aid/CPR and have a clear criminal reference check on file.

  • Are meals included?

Yes — lunch plus two nutritious snacks (morning and afternoon), along with milk and water. The centre is nut-free, and parents don't bring food in unless approved by the Supervisor in advance.

  • Do children nap during the day?

Children in full-day programs nap for two hours in the afternoon. A child who doesn't sleep is offered quiet activities instead.

  • Does my child need to be potty-trained?

No. Teachers work on toilet training with your child when they show readiness — encouraging them at routine times without pressure, and working closely with you so it stays a positive experience.

  • Are immunizations required?

Yes — proof of immunization (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, measles, mumps, rubella and Hib) is required at registration, or a valid doctor's exemption. See the Region of Peel website for details.

  • How will I know how my child is doing?

You'll receive verbal and digital daily reports through the Lillio app (formerly HiMama), with real-time photo updates throughout the day — plus two progress reports each year tracking your child's development against our learning objectives.

  • What do I need to bring?

Diapers, wipes, creams, a blanket, a sleep toy, a sippy cup and an extra set of clothing.

  • Do you have a subsidy?

Yes — we accept subsidy through the Region where you live. You can get more information here

  • How do fees and payments work?

Fees are paid monthly by pre-authorized debit. A non-refundable security deposit equal to one month's child care fees is required at the time of registration and will be applied to your child's final month of care.

  • On which days is the centre closed?

We're open year-round and closed on statutory holidays and Professional Development days only. Refer to the parent handbook for the closure dates in any given year.
