Affordable Childcare For All Families

We are pleased to confirm that all Alpha’s Discovery Kids locations are participating in the CWELCC program ($10/day National Child Care Program). We remain committed to maintaining high standards at Alpha’s Discovery Kids through our exceptional Four Pillars of Learning curriculum. Through the CWELLC program, more families will be able to experience our award-winning child care program in a manner that is affordable, inclusive, and sustainable.

The Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system will:

⏺ Give families access to more affordable and high-quality child care options

⏺ Help lower child care fees for parents of children under the age of six

⏺ Increase child care spaces

⏺ Support the child care workforce

⏺ Support inclusive child care

What This Means For Parents
And Families

On March 28th 2022, the Provincial and Federal governments announced an agreement to fund licensed childcare with a goal of reducing fees to an average of $10/day per child under the Canada Wide Early Learning and Childcare program (CWELCC). The key objectives of this program are to lower childcare fees for eligible children, improve educator wages and increase access to quality childcare programs.

Effective January 1, 2025, the CWELCC program provides federal funding for childcare operators to provide fees at a flat rate of $22 per day.

We anticipate a large demand for child care due to the reduced child care fees.

Who Is Eligible For CWELCC?

Parents or guardians of children under the age of six do not have to apply to receive a child care fee reduction. All families are automatically enrolled in the program if they fulfill the eligibility criteria.

You are eligible for reduced fees if:

Your child:

  • is under the age of six
  • turns six years old and is enrolled in a licensed preschool or kindergarten program, until June 30 or until their 6th birthday (whatever comes first)
  • is enrolled in our program

TESTIMONIALS

Hear It From Our Parents

Finding a daycare that keeps your mind at peace while your kids are there is truly a rare find. I was lucky to have found Alpha’s for my son.

The staff at Alpha’s as very
compassionate individuals who go above and beyond to ensure that every child feels loved, safe, and valued.

It's heartwarming to see the genuine connections they form with each little one.

Zara (parent) · Erin Mills Location

My daughter has blossomed socially, emotionally, and intellectually since joining at the age of 12 months.

The daily activities are thoughtfully planned, balancing play, learning,
and creativity. We appreciate the updates from the app and it's lovely to see how happy and excited my daughter is throughout the day.

We feel incredibly lucky to be part of this daycare community.

Daisy (parent) · Liruma Location

My daughter has been going to Alpha’s since she was 18 months old and she is now 4.

I cannot say enough about Alpha’s! The STEAM learning mixed with playtime, the nutritious lunches and the AMAZING educators and Director are just wonderful. They make sure the kids are having fun while learning, are engaged and connect with kids in

such a way that they truly become family.

I highly recommend Alpha’s and I could not have asked for a better daycare experience for my daughter!
